Prior to joining the Sutter Capital Group, Mr. Fathy was a Fund Manager in Aviva Investors’ Global Real Estate Multi-Manager Group in New York and London. While at Aviva, Burke’s responsibilities included investment analysis and execution, asset management and ultimately responsibility for portfolio construction and management of an $850 million discretionary global separate account, the Group’s largest client. During his tenor at Aviva Investors and its predecessor firm Madison Harbor Capital, Burke sourced, underwrote and closed $180 million of invested capital spanning a wide range of property types and investment strategies.
Prior to joining Aviva Investors Burke was an Associate in the Capital Markets Group of GVA Williams in New York where he was responsible for transactional due diligence and valuation of commercial property dispositions in excess of $500 million. Burke holds a an M.S. in Real Estate Finance from New York University and a B.A. in Urban Studies and Planning from the University of California, San Diego.
Prior to forming Sutter Capital Group in 2008, Ali founded Legacy Mortgage and Real Estate, Inc., a full service mortgage and real estate investment company where he lead the company to realize gross sales in excess of $75 million while building a principally owned residential rental portfolio of over 50 units.
Ali holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
Prior to joining Sutter Capital Group in 2010, Tyler was a Director of Developers Research, a real estate financial consulting firm focused on single-family development projects across the western United States. While at Developers Research, Tyler led diligence efforts on over 500 development projects and opened the firm’s Northern California office in San Francisco.
Tyler holds an M.B.A. from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a B.S. in Management Science from University of California, San Diego.
Prior to Sutter Capital Group, Brandon was the first director of Maxum Investments LP, a boutique real estate investment company. Brandon led the firms rapid expansion efforts and developed a distressed asset acquisition platform that enabled the firm to deploy institutional levels of capital raised.
Brandon holds a B.S. in Economics from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with concentrations in Finance and Marketing. Brandon is an avid triathlete, Ironman finisher and licensed Real Estate Salesperson.
Prior to joining Hammer in 2011, Kerry practiced law in the areas of real estate, estate planning and probate, and business law and formation.
Kerry received her J.D. from the University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law and her B.A. in Rhetoric and Communications from the University of California, Davis.
